BERMUDA RUM SWIZZLE

No, it’s not a dance. But it just might spark some killer moves. To prepare a Rum Swizzle, it’s best to use an authentic swizzle stick. Real swizzle sticks are long stems snapped off a tree native to the Caribbean, and feature multiple prongs that stick out horizontally. When spun rapidly between your hands inside a cold cocktail, the swizzle stick will create a thick layer of frost on the outside of a glass—the sign of a perfect swizzle.

Buttery Nipple

Let's avoid the obvious comments here and go with what a wonderful shot! The Buttery Nipple is a fun and popular party shooter and it one that will ruin your night (unless you have too many, of course). This tasty shot has the flavor of a creamy butterscotch candy and it is fun to share a round with friends.

1 ounce butterscotch schnapps

1/2 ounce Irish cream liqueur

Glass:

Shot

Pour butterscotch schnapps into a chilled shot glass.

Carefully float the Irish cream on top or...

Shake the liqueurs together with ice then straining the mix into the shot glass.

The trick to creating layered shots  is to pour the ingredients in the order given.  Each liqueur has a specific gravity that will determine whether it can float on top of another.

Rule of thumb: the heavier liqueur on the bottom.

Slippery Nipple

I'm not sure if a humorous anecdote would be appropriate here, but let's just say that this shot has a little more kick to it then its cousin, the Buttery Nipple!

Sambuca (1 part)

Baileys Irish Cream (1 part)

Glass:

Shot

Chill liqueurs and glass. Pour Sambuca (about half) into the shot glass. Using a spoon, gently pour the Baileys Irish Cream over the spoon, so that liquids do not mix together.
